With every new year we resolve to make changes in our lives.  Whether it's eating better, exercising more or quitting a bad habit, getting a fresh start is something we all try to do as the calendar moves into January. My intention this year is to not make any resolutions.  Instead, I'll focus my attention on what worked well for me in the past year and continue to expand on those things.

When 2009 rolled around, I had made a decision to begin blogging and writing a regular newsletter for my business.  Both of which I did.  The benefits I received from each of those endeavors have proved to me that there is power in putting pen to paper.  I was able to substantially increase my business revenues this past holiday season from the year before.

Establishing goals and devising a plan to reach those goals are going to get the results we are all after.  As you move into 2010, set your goals, create a plan for achieving those goals and then work the plan.  You  can start with a few manageable ones so you don't become overwhelmed and give up too soon.  Set one business goal and then one personal goal.  Your new year is your fresh start....ready, set, go!

Chocolate Pink Gift Basket

2. In 1875, Daniel Peter and Henri Nestle added condensed milk to solid chocolate, creating a milk chocolate bar.
3. 1896, the recipe for chocolate brownies was intorduced in the Fannie Farmer Cookbook.
4. By 1907, Milton Hershey's factory was producing close to 33 million kisses per day.  They are one of the most popular chocolate candies sold.
   
5. The original 3 Musketeers Bar of the 1930's had three parts: chocolate, vanilla and strawberry.  It became all chocolate in the 1940's and the formula remains the same to this day.
